Overall, looks like Seal of Vengeance got a big buff. If I'm reading it correctly, each proc will now deal 120 holy damage over time, while judging the seal will deal 120 holy damage times the number of stacked procs (max of 5). This would mean that a target with all five procs stacked could be judged with SoV for 600 holy damage (previously 400).

The more I read about Seal of Blood, the less appealing it seems. The tooltip indicates that the amount of holy damage dealt per hit is reflective of "normal weapon damage" rather than total attack damage (which SoC's proc is based off of, including AP boosts from gear and buffs). At best, the proc will be slightly higher than Seal of Righteousness per swing. I don't think it will scale as well as others had previously imagined. Also, the Alliance seal has the benefit of providing headaches for Rogues who choose to terminate their engagement with a Paladin prematurely.

Nice to see Seal of Vengeance buffed. Seems like the collective whining worked.

nice to see our offense getting nerfed, because we all know that Judgement of command doing 289-320 damage at level 70 must have been way overpowered.

Seems like our offensive again gets nerfed - even if SoV got buffed (proc anyone?), it's not enough to balance the nerfs to SoC, AS and one of the Shockadin's main skills, HS.

Also, SoB will probably own pretty hard. +30% damage is more than worth the damage you get (which is what, like, 300 if you hit for 3k? Big fucking deal) and also is reliable.

Thanks for nothing, Blizzard.

Until we get some concrete details from the Alpha, i.e. SoV proc rate and just which form of damage SoB takes as it's base, speculating on how good either are is really an exercise in futility.

The nerfs to the other on-demand combat abilities of Avengers Shield and Holy Shock seem to be difficult to justify, especially if the rumours of greatly increased HP's and MP's at lvl70 are true.

I don't have time to calculate (got to get to class), but I think they might've just normalized the spell damage ratio on the spells. As I recall, the highest rank Holy Shock available at 70 was per ratio more damage per mana over previous ranks. Blizzard probably decided that this wasn't a good (or fair) move.

Wait...was the deadzone for Avenger's Shield removed? If so...that's kick ass.

Does this mean SoV will overtake SoC with all but the most badass 2Hers? Numbers whores! To the batcave!

Well, I think i'd hold fire until we see some confirmation from Blizz, but if the deadzone was removed that would indeed kick ass. Good catch mate.

It seems that a sword and board BE Prot Paladin with Avengers Shield looks to be the most fun in PvP in the BC. That is, so long as AS and SoB work off Melee Crit and hit rates like Hammer of Wrath.

*crosses fingers*

I've totally decided to go full Protection for BC. I'm already planning on spending my DKP on gear for this.

Pallies with Shields are cooler anyway :P

Source was a forum with imput from alpha testers. Rumored changes they may be, but sadly probably reliable.
