New Seal Animations

Check out this thread that has pics of the new Seal animations we're getting. Don't they look awesome?

An answer to the EU Paladin thread. Kinda.

These look amazing. I might cast SoTC even if it sucks just to see the animation.

I love the avenging wrath/seal of rightousness animations. Even if our 41 point talents in holy and ret aren't all that, at least they did listen a bit to what we wanted (ie winged paladins and deathwish!).

Ah, I get it. Instead of spending time balancing the class abilities, they're making paladins look cooler. Presumably this is being done to keep the boobadins distracted long enough for them to level all the way up to 70 instead of giving up around level 50.

Clever.

Yeah, it would be nice to have a few more class abilities, but at least they are doinga few things right. Also, some of the new talents and spells are very nice (Fanaticism, Avenging Wrath, Avengers Shield, Blessed life, Light's Grace). I still think the seal/judgement system needs some help, but as I mentioned before, this makeover looks better than the 1.9 one did (which brought us forbearance and 70% seal of command damage).

The people who design and produce the graphical content for the game are different people from those who design classes. The World of Warcraft team is gigantic, with several hundreds of people who all have very specific work areas they attend to. Thus I think it's wrong to speculate that just because we get these cool animations it is related in some way to our talent review sucking or something like that.

As it stands I'd call TBC much worse than 1.9 because of mass dispel. Unless we're given something else, I'll take the current Paladin over having my one lifeline I could count on being removed.

Nice, they look pretty damn pimp. I am however reminded of that Malibu Stacy Simpsons episode, you know the one: 'but, but, she's got a new hat!'.

These "new spell graphics" look suspiciously like warcraft 3 effects. The fact that they aren't shown in context of the game makes it even more suspicious.

Hmm. So now people without Natur Cast can tell what seal we're using and decide whether or not it's worth purging?

Eh. Not that it really matters anyway.
