Eyonix's Evaluation

Ryan (thanks!) just sent me a email on a Eyonix post in the General forums. He's trying to sort out the issue of where Holeran sent complaints to wowcmfeedback@blizzard.com about his lack of activity and Pally forum presence.

Blizzard seriously needs to completely alter the way they publically are in touch with their users, especially through the Community Managers. That they have to explain and excuse themselves over and over again for the same things such as lack of information, lack of area of responsibilities, etc, ought to have ring some bells at headquarters.

I've got the feeling that the Community Managers simply aren't as open-minded and connected to the players as probably what was originally intended with their role. They just aren't open enough with what they say and what they do. Maybe this ultimately is a failure due to conflict of policy. Blizzard are reknowned for having a very tight-lipped atmosphere and trying to balance that with community managing where the objective is to be in touch and open with players must be a delicate, if not, impossible act.

I've long ago come to the realization that "Community Manager" is all about the management (as in "Spin Management") and not so much about community.
They aren't there for us. They are there to placate us for as long as possible, keep us paying our accounts another month. Spin what Blizz wants us to think.
God I wish another game would come out that wasn't run by Blizzard.

The problem comes from them doing more jobs then just community management as they constantly elude to. And as much as it's there job to filter some of the feedback, the developers sometimes need to see the raw data. The CMs need to be just CMs and the devs do need to spend some more time on the forums.

The CM's are just fanboi's who moderate the forums. It's pretty obvious they have some sway over the information that gets to the devs, since you always see the classes the CM's play as their mains getting buffed.

Anyone see Tseric's explosion on the warrior boards? Who wants to set up the betting pool about when he finally does something to get himself fired?

After reading this saga on the forums, I sent an e-mail to the address indicated telling Blizzard of my dissatisfaction with the CM system. Silly and probably pointless, but I've done what I could.

Blue post: " The public test realms will go live tomorrow, July 6, at 10:00 AM PDT. This small bug fix patch will address many outstanding issues with patch 11.

"Paladins
- Seal of Righteousness blah blah

!!!- Fixed a bug where sometimes casting a spell immediately after a swing would prevent Seal of Command from triggering." !!!

Got a link? I looked through the forums, but found nothing akin to an explosion.

Maybe it has been deleted.
