I've never had Improved LoH talent, and I never will. At least they combined it with the talent that reduces the cooldown.

I've never been more convinced of blizzards Horde bias. We have been bitching about our class for over a year and this is the patch we get. A bunch of fun little toys that in the end fix nothing but that will hopefully shut up the majority of the paladins (who they consider the newbies).

Meanwhile the horde take a look at our class and cry nerf on one ability and the very same day it get's nerfed.

I'm more sure now than ever that the day 1.9 goes live I'll be canceling my account. If I get some time to play I might check out the blood elves and whatever race the horde players won't find overpowering and will allow blizzard to give to the alliance.

I've written up a personal evaluation of the finalized 1.9 talent trees as posted by Blizzard. You can read it here: http://www.refugeesguild.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1043

Righteous Fury + Judgment of Wisdom appears to behave very similarly to the old SoF/JoW combo, if not identically. The best part is, since RF is designed to amplify threat from Holy attacks, it also procs a lot off of spells like Holy Shock and Judgement of Righteousness.

We may be burning a lot more mana in 1.9, but from my testing tonight on the PTR I was getting just as much back. Bear in mind, of course, that I had Improved Blessing of Wisdom on me. If this is true, though, then we may actually have a reason to keep RF on ourselves in PvP.

I grind a lot at Dalson's Tears on my live realm, so I have a pretty good idea how long it takes to down these undead. On live, I use SoC and my Blackhand Doomsaw. Combat is mind-numbingly boring.

I can honestly say that I was downing them at least as fast on the PTR with my Holy/Ret build and with my Sacred Protector/Silent Fang using JoW and SoR. I wasn't even holding back with mana usage, throwing Judments of Righteousness and Holy Shocks everytime they cooled down. With ImpBoW and RF on, I didn't even have to stop to drink. Want some proof? Peep these screen caps from tonights PTR testing:

Righteous Fury is helping in an unintended way and will therefore be fixed shortly - especially if a few Horde players mention it on the suggestions forums.

Yea, my pessimistic side thinks you're right. They never did anything about SoF+JoW, but then by using SoF you dropped your damage down to pitiful levels anyway. RF allows you to get the mana regen from the old SoF+JoW combo will using a damage seal and adding controlled bursts.

Then again, Purge can still remove RF too, as well as any seals we may throw up.

I think they fixed the old SoF/JoW bug some time in 1.7. I anticipate similar to occur just after the patch goes live.

If they did fix SoF/JoW it's still very useful, I still use it all the time and is my saving grace when my pally is all by her lonesome.

Many Thanks vaelin for checking up on that. I was real worried that without SoF we would be losing our infinate mana trick.

Now, I used to think LoH was pretty useless, but after some thought, you get the most benefit from LoH in PvP. Since the average BG wait is 30-60 mins on my server, the talent cut the time 2/3s so your can be sure to use it at least once in every BG. You just need to use it whenever your on the losing end of a 1on1 battle. Don't bother using it when your getting mobbed, you'll still die.

In PvE, it's not as useful. If you've already lost your BoP and Shield, LoH will not save your group. Your better off holding a potion and waiting to DI. DI is a much better spell in PvE than LoH will ever be.

The difference wasn't the full heal it was the buff in addition to the shorter time. The 1.9 incarnation was a 5 minute buff that gave you 50% of your armor value for only 2 talent points. With 8 paladins in your raid you could effectively have that buff up all the time through raid instances. Now it's only 2 minutes and you will have to have paladins use it multiple times in a boss fight if you want it up throughout.

My big issue is that horde only started complaining about this the day before it was fixed. Blizzard is all over nerfing us when the horde cry but the paladin get's shafted when it's time to see any improvement.
