Some Fun 2.0 Builds
Been trying to figure out what build to get when 2.0 comes out. It's fun to try to figure out something when faced with the limitation of only being level 60 with the extended talent trees. Here's two builds of which one I will probably pick:
Stereotypical support-healer build. Guardian's Favor is too awesome to not get. Divine Illumination is "meh" but it's just one point after spending so much in to Holy anyway.
Here's the fun one: Tank-healer hybrid extraordinaire. This one counts on that we'll get our latest talent changes before 2.0 comes out...I hope so.
This one is just too much fun:
- Improved Righteous Fury cuts all your incoming damage by 6%.
- Spell Warding cuts all incoming spell damage by 4%.
- Improved Divine Shield (aka Sacred Duty) adds +6% of total stamina.
I mean, think of the healing survivability. It's incredible.
Btw, I know I have a bunch of email stuff. I'll check them all out after BWL.

Check the fine print on the new Righteous Fury. It's been changed from "60% additional threat on Holy Attacks" to "60% additional threat on Holy Spells." In other words, if you activate it for the damage reduction, you will be setting yourself up for healing aggro... which might not be a bad thing, but I can think of certain fights where it would not be pleasant.
zomg...you're not kidding! Wow...alright, that changes things.
Also I tried out full prot on the test server. Even without the +6% stamina and damage reduction, I found I was able to solo some of live strat:

Unfortunately the server went down after my next death so I wasn't able to get very far... but I was at the rat pull when I died. I'll probably go back and see if I can get the human section at least. I do have quite above average gear for a tankadin (Styleen's, Blessed Qiraji Bulwark, Pauldrons of the Unrelenting being my main "nice" pieces) but it should show what we will be capable of... and how underrated ardent defender is on the forums.
I tried out full prot on test over the holiday weekend. I was very underwhelmed. Of course, the new damage mitigation parts aren't in yet on test, but prot just seemed to be very poor for pvp. Avengers shield isn't all that impressive at 60, Ardent defender, much like blessed life could use an animation or some kind of visual representation of it being 'on'. Ardent defender is also kinda funny in pvp, nothing beats casting flash of light on yourself when you are at like 15% life, which pushes you over 20% leading to you getting one shotted.
I guess the tree will be mostly a 'pve' tree anyway. It would be nice if they made avengers shield a bit more 'worth it' for pvp, and maybe put some kind of heal/short term buff (like bof, bosac) in the tree to enhance the combat healer build.
Holy and Ret are still nice in pvp. :)
Also, I might have brought this up before but it sucks we aren't getting a new short term buff ala BoF, BoP and BoSac. These really are our best pvp buffs. I can understand why they didn't put blessing of spell warding in, but it would have been nice to get something new in that department.
You managed to put 27 points in Prot and not take Blessing of Kings. Bad form very bad form.
I intentionally don't grab BoK because there's always another sucker...*cough* Paladin that has it.

What I see there is a way to prevent Holy Weapons from being overpowered for threat generation. ( weapons dealing holy damage like that Arcane Dagger ).
No weapon deals non-physical damage, besides some weapons with bonuses like iceblade hacker(and no one is even sure if those actually work.) The Pulse Dagger was a bug.
