Some "leaked" 1.12 notes

The "leaked" 1.12 list has been popping up around a bit everywhere. Anyways, it promises pretty much only good stuff - so that's what's leaving me with the conclusion that it has to be fake. Just to cut things down for you, here are the Paladin changes:
Paladin:

Reckoning no longer resets the auto-attack timer.
Holy Light no longer sends two messages to your combat log.
Libram of Divinity will now give the correct healing bonus to Flash of Light.
The added armor from Lay on Hands no longer appears on the character sheet as a permanent armor value.

Random stuff:
New relics have been added to Molten Core, Blackwing Lair, Ruins of AhnQiraj, and Naxxramas.
Ah yes.... 1.12 is scheduled to be the last true patch before the Burning Crusade. If these notes are true (which I heavily believe they are not), we got shafted. Ugh. I'd love it though to see more relics drop everywhere. That'd be kick-ass. I still (!) don't have a relic on my slot (though keep in mind I haven't played the game for about two months).

Seems like the plan now is to wait for the expansion beta test signups to come, wait for Blizzard to go through them and pick testers, then have the actual beta test come for at least a month, then wait for the game to go gold with an additional month because the boxes and CDs need to be created and shipped to the stores.

I hate to sound cynical, but what the heck:

Even if these notes are fake, I don't expect anything substantial from Blizzard regarding paladins in 1.12. Probably fix a few tool tips and change the aura of the epic mount again.

The funny thing is that regardless of what they are doing in Burning Crusade, there are serious problems with Paladins, and I'm not just speaking of the defunct Protection tree. My usual tactics against undead are to Judge Crusader, Exorcise, then seal Command or Righteousness. My Holy damage is the same, whether I have Sanctity Aura up or not. As much as I love WoW, I am tired of being ignored.

Some of the stuff in these notes looks interesting, but I hope to god they are fake based on this one paragraph:
Token systems have been implemented in Molten Core and Blackwing Lair. Tier 1 and Tier 2 Class Armor sets are now acquired like the Tier 3 sets are through turn-in quests. Bosses that previously dropped the armor have had their loot tables revised. In addition, new items that appeal to a greater variety of playstyles have been added to ALL raid instances as both quest rewards and drops!
As someone who just this week got into an endgame raiding guild, I really would not be looking forward to something as obvious a time sink as this would be. I hope they are fake.

I think that change was for the better. My impression is that they've itemized the dungeons with more loot, and the token system is a great solution to solve item rot.

There's no need for rep to have a token based system.

They could always add NPCs outside or inside the dungeons to which you trade them with.

Tokens have no downsides beyond the fact that it might be harder to get x gear because someone else needs the same token. But overall increased mobility for loot distribution and decreased item rot makes up for it by far.

I guess I'm not familiar with how it works then. If its like ZG, where you have to hope some item drops, then you have to hope you get the right combination of bijous and crap...
How is this better? Its just more farming. This game has enough farming as it is. At least let me have some kind of instant gratification.

PTR 0.12 released today. The extent of the Paladin changes:

- Divine Shield: The tooltip has been changed to 100% due to the haste effect change.

Sadly, even the fake patch notes changed more than Blizzard did.

It's time to face facts -- Blizzard believes they are finished with Paladin changes. It's been 3 minor revisions since the long-awaited "Paladin review."

The Libram of something-something (+healing to FoL) drops like candy in Scholo. Two dropped the last time I was there.

The changed ZG. You just need 1 item to turn it into whatever class specific piece. So far you only get 1 choice for each of those pieces. The token system solves several problems as well: no more wasted loot. What would happen is that instead of just 1 choice for that item slot you would get several when you turn in the quest.

But Blizzard would never do that. It's far too convenient.
