Good luck man. I'll leave a big mace on the weapon rack for you if you decide to fire it up in Warhammer.Uther's statue, eh? I dumped my paladin off in the deepest crypt beneath the Stormwind Cathedral when logging off for the last time.
Take care, and thanks for the great blog!-Vir
May the eternal light shine upon you.WoW only brings darkness, and frusteration
Can't wait till I meet you in Warhammer and crush your little warrior priest :D. GL matey.
sad thing to hear , i have enjoyed your posting for the longest time good luck
Nooooo! /cast redemptionToo bad. I was looking forward to reading some more rants about Paladins and Blizzard in general, but then again I've thought about finally quitting this horrible game myself several times, so it's understandable. Anyway, thanks for all your insights on the most screwed up class in the game and maybe things will turn out to be better in WAR.It's been fun!
I know I don't know you or anything, but I'd like to take up the torch for this website. A lot of Paladins probably enjoy this website and I'd like to keep the blog updated with my opinions (as I run a BE pally on Demon Soul struggling for Retribution to get better) - Also you should check out the new post by the Europe CM - they have said they are about to unveil the Retribution changes soon.
Mastgrr, it was always a pleasure to read your posts and analysis on all things WoW. If you decide to play WAR, I'll be looking for you.(On a side note, now I have to think of a good place to leave my paladin when I log for the last time. :P)
Thanks for all - enjoyed reading... best of luck!! Daithi
I've seen a lot of Paladin players cancel their accounts now. A large portion of them are those that wanted a warrior-priest style of play. Warhammer Online beta has started and they are slowly inviting people but the pace is picking up. Will be nice to play a game whereby you -must- deal damage in order to have good heals.
I've been reading this blog for a long time, but have never really posted. Best of luck to ya, man.
quitting now, when there's light at the tunnels end?http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=285172648&sid=1&pageNo=25#482
I appreciate all the nice comments. Really all of this is just an accumulation of something that has been brewing for around six months or so. My account expires this first of July and I don't plan on renewing.
This was the first blog I loved, and I'm sad to see you go. Good luck!
I've been reading your blog for a very long time, and it was very enjoyable. Its gonna be sad not checking up on this page day after day. I hope all goes well with what life has to offer you. Thanks again!-Vel
d'oh! What can I say.Truly enjoyed reading reading this blog despite having quit my paladin. Good luck in future endeavors man!
Light at the end of the tunnel? First of all its not a tunnel, its a cave in, and that light is more like a candle then anything. Blizzard promised us fixes for over 2 years, don't believe them now.
This was the first blog I'd ever read. I was so excited to find someone who felt the way I did about the paladin class and would bring issues to light. It's sad to lose another "true" paladin to the frustration that is RET. Been playing a Ret Pally for 2 1/2 years with no hope in sight. I truely am stubborn but this is my "Way of the Paladin". :) Thank you for a great blog, you will be missed.
Well, Mastgrr, I know you at least speak Swedish, so besides the love for the Holy Warrior, we share that skill :)During the years I have visited your blog, it has under some time been my prime source of information, and you did a great job with this blog. The irony of the blog name is also nice. Now, I got the job at wow.net, I will just be involved in WoW there for the first month or so, then I will be heading over to AoC and WAR stuff. This means I have to play those games ^^ (and get paid for it!). Please leave a name and server (if they have several, haven't checked in so much yet) on your blog, if us old timers of WoW would like to see you gain.If there is any even remotely similar website/blog for Paladins, please point in that direction.Best regards. May the Ligh always light up your paths in the dark.LeordPaladin of The New Silver hand
To bad mang you quit right before they finally buff ret
heh, i myself don't see me playing this game next year at all. prob will move to war online.best blog i've visited btw. sorry to see you goVojnikDath'Remar
Hmm, I'm going to throw an in-game farewell party for myself in like 2 weeks, and then I'll drop my paladin dude to anvilmar dressed in cloth attire (set for retirement).Anyway, see you (those only) in Warhammer next yr. In the mean time, I'm off gaming. :)
Cheers and good luck Mast. I think most of us have considered abandoning this sinking ship more than once... may your future hold more fun and rewarding games, hopefully less frustration too ;)
Enjoyed your blog lots man, all the best with whatever the future holds.
I quit plaing my Dwarf paladin on arthas last week.Dont plan on returning unless they add content that doesnt siphon your life away. Grind is bad, specially when the gear is only sidegrades (retribution).Paladins on WoW may as well be cloth wearing buffboys at this point, we ask for improvement they give us nerfs. I would love to see the headline "WoW loses 3 million players this quarter, all of which are paladins".†Ô† you bliz.
Bein reading this blog for a good year now and has really provided some great insights into the palli class. Sucks to see it go... Just one less page i get to browse when i got nothin to do at work LOL. GL in what ever you do in life afer wow.n00bis
Well, I've been reading Paladinsucks since July 2005, and leaving signed comments since October of the same year (may have been commenting anonymously before then, I forget ;) ). I think that I can say, without fear of contradiction, that this blog has been one of the best for Paladin specific information and discussion, especially when most other sites can only muster 5 page flame wars. You have done a great job on here for the last 2 years Mastgrr, but I guess that the time to finish things comes to us all.I hope to see you come back to the blogging scene if you ever take up a new MMO as I'm sure it'll be a worthwhile read.Best for the future.-Suicidal Zebra
Hope to see you in WAR. I check my mail every day for my beta invite.
