Shaman Changes Released
Gasp. Eyonix spills the beans. Looks much more extensive than the Mage review, certainly. Haven't scouted the boards yet to see what everyone thinks about it. It'll certainly be interesting...
By just skimming through their changes, I noticed that their Shield Specialization talent now also increases block chance by 5%: this is for the non-plate class that's not dependant on the conflict between trying to hoard up on +defense gear and rely on a proc-on-being-critted talent to increase our blockrate.
Ugh. I really, really, really hope that our Protection tree review is extensive.

Can you perhaps post the changes on your board? The WoW forums appear to be down. Probably too many people shouting OMG BLIZZ LOVES SHAMAN NERFNERFNERF!
Thanks!
Here's some of my faves.
Eye of the Storm (3 points): Gives you a 100% chance to gain the Focused Casting effect that lasts for 6 sec after being the victim of a melee or ranged critical strike. The Focused Casting effect prevents you from losing casting time when taking damage.
Deeper into the tree, at tier 5 you'll notice another new talent -- Elemental Devastation. For three points, your offensive spell crits will increase your chance to get a critical strike with melee attacks by 9% for 10 seconds.
THIS ONE IS AWESOME. THINK DIVINE FAVOR + THE OLD COMBUSTION.
=----------------------
oping off this tree, the 31-point talent, Elemental Mastery will now reduce the mana cost of the next spell by 100%, in addition to giving your next Fire, Frost or Nature spell a 100% critical strike chance. Also, the cooldown has been reduced to 3 minutes, from 5.
-----------------------------------
Healing Way (3 point): Healing Wave spells cast on the target cause an effect that increases the effectiveness of any Healing Wave spell cast on that target by 6% for 15 seconds. This effect will stack of to three times.
Weapon Mastery, now the new 26 point talent increases the damage you deal with all weapons by 10%.
Improved Weapon Totems (2 points): Increases the melee attack power bonus of your Windfury Totem by 30% and the damage of your Flametongue Totem by 12%.
Elemental Weapons (3 points): Increases attack power bonus of Rockbiter by 20%, Windfury by 40% and damage of Flametongue/Frostbrand by 15%.
at this point, I am seriously considering quitting. Blizzard just dont care about paladins

IMV the devil is in the detail. Only that would indicate just how much WF has been nerfed, the totems buffed, and the class as a whole improved.

So horribly overpowered.
If I'm reading this correctly, a Shaman with Elemental Mastery will now be able to crit you with any Fire, Frost, or Nature damage spell (including Chain Lightning) provided he only has enough mana to cast Elemental Mastery.
Hope and pray this goes the way of Beastial Fury from its original form right after the Hunter review.
On a bright note, Blizzard nerfed the base Windfury Weapon spell. I guess we'll have to wait and see by how much, and what it will end up looking like if a Shaman specs for the 40% improvement talent to it. Will it actually end up more powerful with the talent? Only time will tell.
