Is Retribution Aura rank 6 is scaling? The tooltip says 26 damage, yet I seem to do 27-28 damage at times. What the heck? If it is due to the fact that it now scales with spell damage gear it contradicts with their old design philosophy of not allowing damage-reactive abilities to scale.
Anyone else seen small and odd stuff like this?

I havent got rank 6 as of yet, but ensure its not one of the area buffs that gives 5% to damage. If it defienetly isn't a buff I am looking forward to using it as my prot spec.
I don't think it scales with gear, though it will increase with JotC, Sanctity Aura, and Vengeance. You can test this easily.
Mage's Molten Armor is affected by fire power (+10% fire dmg) would Retribution aura not be affected by Crusade also?
Do you have the 5% PvP damage buff? That would account for the difference.
Doesn't scale with JotC... However, sanct aura, vengeance, and (no matter your build) zone buffs. Mine hits for 27-28 all the time in Terokkar :D
I know I have to be just making this up but when i JotC a mob it seems like my SoC procs a lot less on that mob :(
My rank 5 does 21 (tooltip says 20). My Rakn 6 does 27/28 (tooltip says 26). It's not from JotC, nor any spec or spell damage. It's from the 5% damage PvP zone buffs.
Retribution aura benefits from spelldmg by 5%.
Vengeance does increase Retribution Aura's reflecting damage by a few points. Experienced that 1 many a time.
