PTR Online!

Test server's up now. I had to log out, but one Paladin was at level 7: expect to see details on our talents very, very soon.

No server transfers yet, but available at 11 AM PST.

Paladin Talents (unconfirmed by official sources)

My conclusion: Overall nerf. Seriously.

I was so excited to see some "specialisation of roles" in the trees...

I have a hard time deciding about this, it'll have to wait until I've tried it out. However, it does seem uninspired to me. I'd like to know why people seem to get so aggressive and scream about it being a nerf ;)

because we were hoping for a more complete and thorough change and what seems to have happened instead is a series of slight tweaks and adjustments to our overall design, without doing the most important thing (imo), which is making us more fun to play. to me it seems we will still be an autoattack wonder.

it seems as if giving us 15 minute raid buffs means that they don't have to pay attention to any of our other problems. seriously if these changes are as good as it gets, I'm just going to stop playing my paly completely. I usually don't complain, and hate to hear others moan, but I'm really dispirited and down about this.

Wow they are true. From the test realm forum..

# Holy Power is not properly increasing the crit rate of Holy Shock and Hammer of Wrath.
# Holy Shock and Hammer of Wrath are not being affected by the paladin talent Eye For an Eye.

Retribution changes are poor, If you can get reckoning, conviction and an 'eye for an eye' into one build it will be interesting.

Holy is looking pretty good. Seal of command burst damage got nerfed. Bad Devs.

to be fair, I'll wait till 1.9 goes live before I make a final judgement (lol).

on a more positive note for all us engineers out there did you notice this bit: " * Engineers with skill 250 or greater, who have completed Umi Rumplesnicker's 'Are We There Yeti?' quest line, should seek her out again in Everlook. "

Anyone thinking that Umi might well have a new schematic for us... can ya guess what it is!?!!

SHIELD HEARTH a new Paladin guild up on the PTR : )

Retnoobs already complaining at first sight of change to SoC. Ignoring the fact that it also procs more often in spite of reduced damage, and that we'll be able to judge Righteous/Command for controlled burst damage.

Some very cool PvP useful talents:

Pursuit of Justice - up to 8% speed increase with 2 talents - mounted and on foot (does not stack with thigns like spurs/carrot/glove enchant)

Eye for an Eye - 15% damage reflection to a caster when their spells crit on you.

Divine Strength moved to top of Holy tree - that means 20% STR bonus with BoK up.

Improved Judgment - up to 2 second reduced cooldown on Judgment. With an already shortened base cooldown, this means even more frequent controlled burst damage.

Vindication - chance for up to 15% strength/agility debuff on melee hit.

Conviction moved up to 3rd tier in Ret tree.

Healing Light in Holy increases healing done by both HL and FoL.

Just not as far-reaching as I was hoping it to have been certainly.
